Chihuahua Puppies and Adorable Adults

The Great Lake State of Michigan

10/30/2007 Mary,

Baby is doing great. She is so playful and affectionate. The kids and I love her. She gets along really well with the other dogs and loves to play outside. We are all doing well here.

10/30/2007 Hi Mary,

Great to hear from you.  I am doing well - my belly is getting pretty big as I am now 8 months pregnant (due Dec. 27).  Celia likes to curl up next to her future sister in bed at night.  I think she can hear her in there.

Ramon's mother is in town and it is amazing how much Celia loves her.  She loves the extra attention she gets now.

Ramon and I were talking just the other day about how amazing it is how much we love Celia.  People that don't have pets don't understand how they become a part of your family.  We say that Celia is our first daughter.  :)

I will continue to send you pictures as we take more.

Take care,

Christine

10-18-07 Dear Mary,
I can't express to you the joy and happiness that Scarlett has brought into our lives!  As you can see she is a part of everything I do and everywhere I go. :) Scarlett absolutely adores my children and she gets so excited when she hears the school bus pulling up to drop them off at the end of the day! During the day when we are not out and about running all of my errands she entertains herself by playing with her new buddy, Jazmin, our 10 year old cat. I have received so many compliments from everyone that meets Scarlett, including my veterinarian . Scarlett has dispelled EVERY Chihuahua stereotype! She loves children and  is definitely not shy and fearful of new situations. She is incredibly smart! She already knows how to sit, fetch, and relieve herself in her potty-box on command!  My husband absolutely adores her and if you were to open up his cell phone you will see her picture as his screensaver. If you look close enough you just might see him wrapped around her front pinky toenail! haha   She loves the outdoors and has made friends with all of our farm animals. At our last vet appointment she weighed in at 3.3 lbs.  My Vet has nothing but praise for you Mary. He sees a lot of Chihuahua's and is very impressed  by Scarlett's calm disposition, solid health and graceful physical  appearance.  We love you soooo much Mary!!! Your loving heart , gentle spirit and dedication are so apparent in the Chi Angel puppies you raise! Words cannot express what an amazing woman you are. You give so much of yourself to ensure that your Chi Angel puppies are placed in the right homes. I hope that anyone reading this will be assured that they have found the right breeder when they located you Mary! You may use me for a reference anytime!  I am still in the process of learning how to use my new Apple  computer so I will definitely send more pictures soon.  May God continue to Bless you Mary!!!!!!

10/9/2007  Hi Mary, sorry i didnt have a chance to email you yesterday but my internet didnt want to work every time i was here. Chico, which i think will be his name and means little boy in spanish, did very well his first night here. He sleeps right next to my bed and seems to like it. He is still a little shy but im trying to help him get comfortable in any way i can. I think i might be spoiling him a little, last night i let him lay in bed with me for a bit and when i put him in his bed he wouldnt sleep without my hand next to him.  I will keep you updated on how things are and i wanted to thank you again for this beautiful gift.

                                                                                                     Thank you,
                                                                                                          Murry

10/6/2007 Just came from the vet with my two prizes.  Of course Patches was a big hit, no one yelled at me for bringing home another baby.  Acutally they said with that sweet face they would have done the same thing.  Lilliana went along for the ride and to keep Patches company.

10/7/2007
It's Lilli!!!!

Sent you more pictures.  This first one mommy sent so you can see what Chico can do with a roll of paper towel!!!

Mommy is busy working in her bedroom, so I thought it a good time to write you.  One picture, it is hard to see me, Chico is sitting on me.  He's such a boy!!
We are having so much fun with Patches.  Mommy calls us the 3 Amigos.  In the last few days, he is not so shy anymore.  We have so much fun going after our bigger brothers.  And Smokey is always there to make sure things don't get too wild.    The mornings are really fun, mom puts the big kids outside, and Ted comes and lays on the floor and me and Patches jump all over him.  A very silly cat.

It was so much fun seeing you last week. I do miss you.  I really wanted you to see what a nice young lady I have turned into.  I know I shouldn't say things like this, but everybody just loves me so much, and I am such a good girl.  Patches is going to start going out with us more so he can get used to going places and meeting new people.  Right now, when he is not chasing and jumping on me, he is happy to be the baby and have mommy hold him.   I think mommy is enjoying that, cause I
was in such a hurry to grow up.

And daddy is just being daddy, "can't you kids go out side and do that?"  "I am trying to enjoy my dinner, will you sit down?"  He is a funny funny guy!!!

I have been teaching Patches how to read and write, and soon I will teach him to type so he can write you letters too.  He told me to tell you he misses you very much,
and to say hi to Smiley for him.  And we are both very happy you approved the Fisher home for us to live in, because we just love it here.

I can't wait to hear from you,
Lots of big smoochie kisses
Love
Lillianna

Hi Mary -
How are you?  Bodie had his vet appointment yesterday for his vaccinations.  He's 15 months old now.  The vet says he looks just perfect!  He spent most of the visit charming everyone, including the owners of the other pets in the waiting room!  That little guy just melts hearts everywhere he goes.

I had some surgery on the 10th, so am now home for several weeks to recuperate.  It's so nice to have my little cutie pie to snuggle with and make me feel better.  Honestly, Mary, I don't know how ever I got along without this sweet little doggie.  He brings so much joy to me every day, and I could never thank you enough!

I hope everything is good with you.  Bodie sends you love and smooches!
Take care,
Ellen

9/18/2007 Hi Mommy Mary,
How are you?  Everything is great here.  Mommy says I look more like a young lady now and not so much a puppy. And I am so good she takes me everywhere.

Everybody makes such a fuss too!!  And they all say I am nothing like any other Chihuahua they ever met.  I wonder what's wrong with the rest of my breed????

And mommy wins again, when it got cold out I didn't like it very much, so she put a sweater on me.  I really liked that, stayed toasty warm so I could stay

outside and play with my brothers. Wasn't sure about those clothes. There was pictures, but BJ chewed them up!!!  And she bought me and Chico matching

pumpkin costumes for Halloween.  She is a very silly lady.  I can't believe she is going to make us wear them!!!!

Lately it has been Chico that has been naughty.  He chewed up a whole roll of paper towel, under mommy's covers.  She didn't know until she went to bed

and pulled the blankets back and it snowed all over her room.  And the next day he got ahold of any ink pen.  Mommy said he looked like a Smurf.

and she should have checked under those covers again, cause that's where Chico chewed it.  In the morning Mommy looked like a Smurf.  She was not very happy at all.

I got my very first scolding from Daddy.  I found the cats litter boxes and brought Daddy a present.  He was not very happy.   And Mommy said again

"what do you do all day while your kids are running amuk!!!"  To tell you the truth Daddy is not very good at all at scolding!!!!

So let's see what else.  I ate a worm that I found outside.  Mommy just went, eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!!!!!  It was pretty tasty.  And I went to the Dr. again.

Mommy made sure I did not get that nasty lady that hurt me.  I weigh 6 pounds now and the Dr. said I am perfect in every way.  They asked me to come back in a month for an operation, but Mommy said no way.  She said she is just not ready for that yet.

And next week we are going on vacation again.  Mommy and Daddy said there will be lots of leaves to crunch in.  I can't wait.  Those acorns are pretty good too!

Mommy Mary, I love and miss you very much, can't wait til you write me a letter.

Lots of love
Lilliana

10/17/2007 Mary,
I did receive your email and thank you so much for your prompt response.  I read everything on your site and not only do I agree with your terms, I think it makes the most sense of anything I've heard so far.  I was hoping to buy from some one who cares as much about their pets as they do for I see them not only as pets but as members of my family.  Please consider me for one of your "babies".
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Janice

Hi Mary-

Hope all is well. Sorry It has been so long since we last talked. I just wanted to give you an update on Lil Juan. He is doing just as wonderful as he was when he left you, I can’t believe I have had him for 6 months already.

He is a little loverboy and his personality is just awesome. You just have to look at him and it brings a smile to your face. He is very playful, spunky, and isn’t happy unless he’s giving someone kisses, including PJ, they are inseparable.

Thank you again for my baby boy, you have brought a ton of happiness to my family and friends, thank you….

Allison

P.S.

He was just at the vet last Friday and was neutered. He is doing well and was back to his spunky little self about 12 hours later. Nothing can slow him down.

My camera is down right now but I have a ton of pictures to send you when I get it fixed. I’ll keep in touch, again, I’m sorry it took so long for me to get in touch with you.

8/28/2007 Still Perfect.  She is gaining confidence.  She ventures out of her play yard, around the bedroom, and recently into the hallway...each of these rooms have the same wood floor.  But she only inches out of the bedroom and runs right back to her play yard.  She is eating well,
she is  learning to come when her name is called, and she comletely love Ellyce!

8/27/2007 Hi Mary,

I thought I would send a picture of Piper she is doing
wonderfully and goes on
walks around the block. She is still a little shy but
she is still a puppy so we are hopeful she will grow
out of that.

Hope all is well

8/19/2007  Recommendation letter

Hi Mary,

I just want to thank you again for Bella, she is just the sweetest thing and makes me smile every day. I love your process on getting the puppies, it was easy and informative. I love getting the weekly updates and watching her grow, I still have all of them saved and look at them to see how much she has changed. It was so nice with the weekly updates. I know, most probably want to see the puppies right away but I found it comforting knowing my puppy was safe and not handled by people that could have brought it communicatable diseases. The deposit process all worked out well too, it was easy, and makes a lot of sense to do it that way. It makes it fair. Your list of supplies, was a huge help the pen worked out great. Being a first time puppy owner I wasn't sure what she might need but, the supply list made it easy. When I took it to the pet store to shop for her they were amazed that a breeder put so much work into it. Picking Bella up was great to the pictures of you and your house made it easy to find. Brining her home was so fun, with the supply list I felt prepared and it helped to put her at ease. Bella has just brought us so much joy and happiness. She gets complimented every where for how sweet she is and how cute. I can't thank you enough for everything you have done!! If anyone is every looking for a little angel pup, you would be the first person to recommend. I might even be back in the future for another little angel as well.

Lilli is full of surprises. As I said everyday she amazes us.

I overheard Graham talking about Lilli the other day, and I heard him say if he knew then about Lilli, what he knows now,
he would have paid you double!!!!!  She is our little cutie pie, huggy buggy, tailing wagging, ball of love and happiness.

8/27/2007  Hi Mary,

Your book sounds very exciting!  Please let us know when the book is available and what the title is.

Lucy is doing great!  She has had a very fun summer!!  I had planned to have her spayed in mid-August, but she went into heat the first week of August.  So I will wait until early October to have it done.

She is very healthy.  Everyone loves her.  My parents were here to visit for 2 weeks in July and my Dad just LOVED Lucy.  :)  She loves going for walks and playing int he back yard.  She is very well behaved and very sweet.  She went up to Harbor Springs with us for a week and was so good in the car and while we were there she was just an angel.

Hope all is well with you.  Your current puppies are so cute.  Hope they find good homes soon!

Our love and hugs,
JoAnn and Lucy and all  xoxoxo

8/16/2007 Hi Mary,
Ria continues to impress us.  She is consistent and intent on using her litter box.   Her appetite is good.  And at this moment, she is actually alone in her play yard pen taking a nap alone--for the first time--no whining!!!! We are very pleased.  I will send a refernce letter as discussed.

7-16-07 Hi Mary -
How are you?  I can hardly believe it has been almost a year since I met you and my sweet baby Bodie.  Today I took a peek at your website to see what was new, and I was thrilled to see that you still have photos of Bodie displayed!!  He has been such a joy and a wonderful addition to my life.  You would be very proud of him, he is such a great little guy!  Everyone who meets him is impressed.  I'm very grateful that I was lucky enough to find such an outstanding breeder and such an amazing little dog.

I hope that everything is going well with you and your family, and that you are enjoying your latest group of puppies.  All the best -

In a message dated 7/10/2007 Update
Hey Mary,

Sorry I have been so slow on getting back to you!  I have been super busy with my parents being in town and all.  Lili is doing just great!  Her first night was really good.  She even woke me up to tell me she had to go potty.  She is extremely playful and loving her new home!  I took her to the vet yesterday and everything was great.  She is definitely a mommy's girl!  She is quite a handful though!  You turn your back for a second and she has found something else to get in to!  It's been great so far and can only get better!  Thanks again so much and I will soon send pictures of her!  Hope all is well with you!

7/29/2007 Hi Mary,

I know it has been awhile. I just wanted to let you know Bella is doing wonderful! She is such a blessing. She makes us so happy! She is so funny and always has us laughing! Both ears are up and they are just huge compared to her little head! She has been to the vet a few times and things are good. She weighs about 2 pounds now! Everyone who meets her just loves her! She still can't bark, but it's coming along! She is cuddled up right next to me now on the couch. She is pretty much potty training a rare accident here and there but no big deal. She is super smart too. She got out of the crate bed we made her after just a few days, and learned how to either jump over or climb out of her play pen!! We got her a baby gate and she has been staying in that. lonnie's mom still comes over every day to hold and play with her while we are at work. She just loves her too. We started her in a puppy preschool on Saturday she did really well, even though she is the scariest one in the class. Everyone just loves her though. i have had a few people ask me how often you have litters after seeing her? I just wanted to say thank you again I am so happy with my little angel Bella. She just makes me so happy everyday!! Lindsay

7/24/2007  Hello,
Just wanted to give you an update on how Chewy is doing. He appears to be
handling the potty training well except for at nights. He has turned out to
be our adorable pet-child. Since talking to you last, he has moved from the
city to the country and loves the bigger yard. I hope you enjoy the
pictures; however, I'm sure you won't enjoy them as much as we enjoy him.
Thank you again!

Dear Mary,

How can we ever begin to thank you for the precious gift of our angel girl Lucy.  She is a gem and we love her!

She has been eating and drinking and using her litter box consistently to pee and poop.  She did cry some last night, but slept well in her bassinet.  She wants to be loved all of the time, so when we put her in the play-yard sometimes she'll begin to cry - but it does not last long.  She needs the quiet time for her own good.  The kids absolutely adore her and would play with her non-stop if we let them.  :)

We have only the highest praise for you and Chi Angels.  You give 110% to your beautiful little angels and it is evident in how well adjusted they are.  All along the way you kept us updated on Lucy's growth through weekly e-mails and beautiful pictures.  We can't say enough good things about you and our lovely Lucy!  You are truly professional and caring and our entire experience with you has been WONDERFUL!!!  You put your heart and soul into your puppies and they are certainly lucky to have been raised by you!  We feel that we have made a friend in you and we will definitely keep in touch to let you know how Lucy is doing.  It is also very comforting to know that you are available to answer any questions that we may have along the way.
MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!

Blessings to you!

Well I have just so much to tell you about.  I would show you, but daddy has not put the pictures up for me to send yet.

I am a very spoiled little girl and have everybody hopping around here.  I have gotten over that chase the feet and ankles thing though.  Everybody is happy about that.

But I have learned if I whimper someone will always pick me up!!!  I like pulling that stunt when mommy and daddy are busy with something else.  Mom did cure the

computer thing though, she put a bed on the desk for me so I can sit with her while she works.  Every afternoon daddy takes a nap with me, last week while he was up north

I made such a fuss with mommy that she took the afternoon off so she could cuddle me and take a nap.  I told you I was really spoiled!!!

But one thing has me very puzzled.  Everybody calls me Little Princess and treats me like royalty.  Last week mommy was clipping my nails, and ooops!!

Yep she clipped a bit too far on my duclaw.  Did you know I DO NOT have blue blood!!!???!!!  Well I just assumed....................

And I have them crazy climbing on the furniture.  They bought me stairs, but I won't use them.  I would rather watch their hair stand on end.

I will let them off the hook eventually when I learn to use those things.  Climbing is so much more fun.

Had lots of fun on vacation, but mommy got sick and had to go to the doctor.  I felt bad for her, but good for me and my brothers cause she stayed in bed for a few days

and we got lots of cuddle time in.  I even went outside and played a little bit on the deck.  I was so scared at first but mommy and daddy played with me and I ending up having fun.   My portacribs got put away, but now they have me in jail, mommy says it is a gaited community!!!!  I can't escape, but the cats can get in to play with me.

I guess it's not so bad.

I have so much fun here, everybody loves me so much even my brothers and I drive them nuts.

I love you and miss you Momma Mary.
Hugs and Kisses
Lilliana

6/28/2007 Hi Momma Mary,
It's Lilliana.  We are going on vacation, not sure what that is, but my brothers say it is alot of fun.  And when I get bigger, I get to go to the beach!!!

Having lots of fun with my new family, they all love me so much.  My brothers let me get away with anything and don't get mad at me.

I have fun chasing them around the house, and when they get to rough I run back to my mom or dad to be picked up.

The only time mom and dad get unhappy with me is when I chase their ankles, so I end up being picked up and carried around alot.  My brothers don't mind it though. I always steal my mom's slippers right off her feet and runaway with them.  That's fun.

I love you and miss you very much, and think about you all the time.  And I want you to know you found the perfect family for me.

I am so happy.

I will send you pictures of my vacation when we get home
Love
Lilliana

8/13/2007 Me and my brother/update.

Hi Mommy Mary,

Finally got dad to put my picture up with BJ and my new brother Chico, not the best picture, but it will do. Then I had to get mommy off the computer so I could write you a letter.

We just got back from vacation again.  Boy they like to vacation.  We had a little b-day party on Saturday, remember I turned 4 months old.

Because mom and dad still won't let me out in the yard there, lots of people came to visit me.  So many faces to lick and lots of kids to play with.

They let me play on the front deck, but I tricked them and went down the stairs all by myself.  That didn't go over very well though!!

I usually come home from vacation so tired, but today mom and dad are wondering who gave me a fresh pack of batteries!!!  I can jump up and down off the sofas and chairs now, this upsets my brothers because they have no place to hide from me anymore.  And I found a new place in the house that mom and dad didn't think I knew about.

The Basement!!! Well, they taught my how to use the stairs, so they can just deal with it!!!!  What a cool place, more sofas, another toy box, they thought they could hide from me!! And my brothers food bowls!!! (where can she put the bowls now?)  And they left the baby gate up north, HA!!

And while mommy was working on the computer, all of the sudden I appeared on the table next to her.  She still can't figure out how I got there. You know I have wings,

I just have not shown them to mom and dad yet.  I don't think they could handle it.   Mommy says I am an angel when I am sleeping.  Awake I am either causing trouble or getting into the middle of already started trouble she always says.  But they laugh and smile alot, so I guess I will keep up the good work.

I love my new brother Chico very much.   We are always together.  I am so happy he came to live with us.  My big brother BJ will turn 1 on Sept. 13th

and we are going to have another party for him.

I will write again soon Mommy Mary, I miss you so much.
Tons of love and kissies

Took a peek at your site today and there was Liliana's letters to her dear Mommy Mary.  She is very flattered.
We are home for a few weeks now and itching to get back up north. 2 more weeks.

Liliana couldn't be better.  She is just such a little peanut, but everything else about her is changing daily.  Would love her to stay a baby, but she wants to be big and do

everything her brothers do.  Keeping her inside while they go out in the yard is over.  She is out there running and jumping with them.  It makes me nuts seeing her

out in that big yard.  She has conquered up the stairs to the bed now, and very thankful she let's you now when she wants down, instead of jumping off.  Not too keen

on learning down the steps yet.

Another lover of Chihauhaus got to see your work the other day (will tell you why in minute, you won't believe this) anyway she just could not stop commenting

on how beautifully bred Lilli is, her eyes, her coat and her personality. A real shining star.

Anyway our family has grown again!!!!  Chico, he is eight months old, looks just like the Taco Bell dog.  His owner, an elderly man had a stroke unable to care of him.

Him and his wife wanted to make sure this sweet little boy got a wonderful home. And guess whose names came up as reccomendations!!????

We got an e-mail on Friday morning and just anquished over him all day long.  We knew if we said no, we would spend our time worrying if he got a good home.

So off we went to meet Chico.  The stipualtion was, we wouldn't be allowed in the house if we didn't bring Liliana!!!  Well didn't she have a ball

5 little ones her size to pummel!!!  She just walked in took over, everybody got kissed and off she went to play.

On they way home Lilli and Chico curled up on my lap and slept all the way home.  BJ, Peppy and Smokey, gave him their usual 3 Stooges greeting.

And everybody has settled in quite nicely.

Am I nuts, yep!!!  But what can you do????  The heart just gets a bit bigger to make room for one more.

Will send more pictures soon of our beautiful Liliana.
Hope all is well over your way.
Enjoy the Day
Hugs to you
Roberta

Hi Mary,

The vet visit went great.  She was really scared while on the table, but that's Celia for you.  ;)  The vet assistant was amazed at her pain threshold.  She said that most chihuahua think the shot is painful and they yelp, but Celia doesn't seem to mind.  I think she's too scared to know that it hurts.  Puppy class was good last night.  She is slowly gaining confidence.  She got really freaked out by the big rowdy dogs though.  She is starting to take treats and do a few things with the trainer, where as before she would have nothing to do with her.  She's taking baby steps.

Take care, Christine P.S. Sorry I haven't got your recommendation done yet.  Soon!

March 14, 2007 Recommendations
Dear Mary,

Just a few months ago, I was reading the recommendations on your website, in the hopes of becoming closer to being able to take home one of your beautiful Chihuahua puppies.  And here I am today – myself writing a recommendation.
From the moment I saw a picture of Celia (one of your “black and tan angels”), I knew that I wanted to make her part of my family.  As I browsed around your website, I found a lot of helpful information, including information on the breed and many pictures.  I was happy to discover you have an application process, so that you can make sure your puppies go to loving homes.  It was evident, when we went to your house to get Celia, that you treat your puppies with love and care and only want the best for your babies.
Ever since the day we brought home our baby, you have been more than helpful and caring.  You have answered my many questions, whether they were about litter box training, food schedule, type of food, playing, training, or vet visits.  I especially enjoyed the baby pictures you sent to me of Celia from the time she was born until the time right before I got to take her home.  You are quite the photographer!  Even a couple of months after we took home our wonderful puppy, I am pleased that you and my family are still in contact.  I know that you truly do love hearing updates and seeing photos of Celia.  I feel good knowing that I will always be able to contact you with future questions and/or concerns.

Mary,

 You are so sweet.

Celia has brought us so much joy.  We find ourselves not wanting to leave the house because we miss her and she misses us when we do.  She is so lovable.  She's a good puppy.

Last week we didn't have the puppy class because the trainer was on vacation, but we took her to the store that night anyway so that she gets used to it.  We had been working on her walking with a leash at our house and she was getting good (after several days of being freaked out by the leash).  At the store, I figured she would freeze and not want to walk anywhere, but actually we walked around the whole store (with a little treat encouragement).  She looked so happy to be walking the isles, and happy to be pleasing her "pack leader."  We have class tomorrow, and I think that she will continue to make strides.

Again, thanks for all your help and advice.  And I look forward to seeing her family pictures.  :)

Christine

Hi Mary!

Great to hear from you!!  Glad that you are feeling better too!!

We are all doing very well!!  Lucy is growing!  She is eating well and loves to play!!  Her favorite toys are a stuffed mouse that she stole from our cat and a nylon jump rope that she loves to drag around and chew on.   Recently, her biting/mouthing has gotten a bit better.  We are re-directing her to chew toys always and she is biting them more now instead of us and our clothes.  :)

She is starting to jump up on the furniture after getting a running start.  We don't want her to do this.  We want to have her get up on our laps by picking her up instead.  So, I'm working with her on that.  Still looking into puppy classes.   I may even wait until summer......  we'll see.   I can't wait for it to warm up outside so that I can take her for walks.  I'm going to work with her this week on putting on a harness and leash.  I ordered ID tags and they came this week.  I also enrolled her in the AKC ID/Return program when I sent in all of her paperwork.

On her AKC papers - her official name is Little Lucy Lue Cha Cha Cha after her mommy.  I think it is so cute and hope you like it too!  :)

She is a fabulous puppy and we can't say enough good things about her.  She will be going to N.C. with us for Easter.  We are going there for a week.  I purchased a 2nd Superyard and am having it sent to my folks house so that we can have her all set up there.  Also got a nice carring case for her to ride in on the plane with us that will work very nicely.  It will definitely be warm there - so we'll all be outside enjoying the nice weather!

Have a great week and "think Spring"!   :)

Love and hugs,
JoAnn and all  xxoxoxoxo

Q.T's angel girl.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

Dear Mary,

We just wanted to write and let you know what a wonderful experience acquiring one of your beautiful chi-angels has been. From the moment we found your website we couldn?t resist the opportunity to have another Chihuahua in our home. Your integrity and devotion to the breed speaks for itself. The careful screening of potential homes as a first requirement is a wonderful tool and should be used by more serious breeders. The photos of previous angels and the information on your website show how much you love your angels. Once we determined that we would be able to have one of your puppies you kept us informed of due dates, pedigrees, disposition and colors. After choosing a puppy from a litter in November, each week that followed was filled with information and precious photos of our Angel Baby (a.k.a. G-Baby, a.k.a. Gi-Gi). We always looked forward to the beginning of each week for new photos, updates, and tidbits that made us a part of her growing process. The detailed information on the care of mother and babies was fascinating and the amount of time you spend on these litters is evident in the quality, healthy, beautiful puppies these moms produce.

From the moment we brought GiGi home, she fit right in and loved her new play area, bed, blankets to borrow in and toys, toys, toys! (And of course her new big brother who had more issues with her than she did with him, but both are now happy and bonding well. GiGi loves to get under him and bite his legs). After a few moments of crying when Sarah left for school on Monday, we haven?t heard a peep out of her. She is very affectionate, playful, content during quiet times, and uses her litter box on a very regular basis.

We are so lucky to have found you and our new angel baby. She is very loved and please know she will have a wonderful life.

We would highly recommend you to any chi-lover out there looking for the perfect new addition. You have done an excellent job in maintaining this quality breed with your personal and professional standards.

Thanks again for the beautiful chi-angel and we will keep in touch.

Love,

Katie and Sarah Schenk, Dexter, MI

Hello Mary!

Im so glad I finally got to meet you! You are a very very nice person :]

I got to stay home from school today to be with her. She has been wonderful! She loves to get cozy. She played for a while and then she ate. She then used the litter box. She woke up a couple of times during the night but she was fine. In the morning she played with us for a while and then she took a nap in my arms :] She is the sweetest thing in the world. She loves to give us kisses too.

Thank you so much for everything Mary!

Mary,

Celia is doing SO well!  We can't believe how well she is doing.  Last night, when we arrived home, we set her bed up in one corner of the family room.  We put her litter box right next to her.  She stayed in her bed for a little while, then we started playing with her and she loved it.  She loves the squeeky toy I got her.  She drank some water and ate maybe two pieces of food.  We gave her some Aunt Jemima syrup (I did have some in my pantry) and she licked that right up.  We took her upstairs with us to our bedroom around 11 pm.  We set the bed up next to the wall and dresser and she hung out there and played for a while, chewed on her rawhide, used her litter box.  (She only did one pee-pee outside of her box and that was when we first took her upstairs and I think she was a little scared).  She slept in her bed all night, only waking up a couple of times to use her litter box.  I told Ramon that just the fact that she is already potty trained is worth the money paid for her!  She is all around a bundle of joy.

I took many pictures last night and I will send them to you on Monday.  We only have dial-up service at our house, so if I tried to email you the pictures from here, I think it would take all day to go through.

If for some reason that woman who was planning on buying the other male (the one we didn't see last night) changes her mind, please let me know.  :)  I think I'm already addicted to these cute little puppies.

Oh, I noticed on the instructions you gave us something about puppy vitamins.  Should I still be giving these to her?  I assume that I can find these at a pet store?

Take care,
Christine

My mom loves him! So do the rest of the people in my family! You were right he is an adorable little playful puppy. My sister uploaded ;picture of him on my computer and my mom asked me to send them to her e-mail because she wants to show him off to all her friends at school! Thanks again he is great. Only a little crying at night and a few accidents, but nothing a little getting used to and training can fix. Peter

First off, YOUR PUPPIES ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was just writing to ask how much your puppies are. I am VERY interested in one of them, however, I cannot have a dog until may when I move into my new home. I am very excited to have found a completely black male Chi, especially in Michigan. Please get back to me ASAP, for I am very excited!

Mary-

sorry I didn't send you an e-mail when I got home, the puppy and I were both tired and took a nap =0) When I was first leaving yoru house, my puppy wasn't all to wild about being in the car, but once we got goin, he was fine.  Once we were home, I offered the puppy some of the canned food, as well as the dry food which he a little bit of both.  For some reason though he would only eat it out of my hand.  After he was done eating, I took him to his litter box where he went to the bathroom, both types.  Then, I decided to have him and my cat Delila meet eachother, which went great.  They were both giving eachother kisses in a matter of minutes.  When after all of that was done we took a litle 2 hour nap, played a little bit, had another bathroom break, and then it was off to bed.  I slept on the floor with him because I didn't want him to be scared his first night home.  He is so wonderful!  I couldn't ask for a better addition to my family.  Thank you for everything!!

1/22/2007 11:04:11 A.M. Eastern Subject: Dmitri,

Hi Mary,

The first night was interesting, with Dmitri getting used to his new home and Genevieve and Sophia (two other dogs in the home) getting used to him. I took him to the vet Saturday morning.

The vet said that he is in perfect health. I take him back in 3 weeks for his second set of vaccinations. All went well!

The pet sitter came over today to meet the dogs. She will be stopping by once a day while I'm at work to play with the dogs and give Dmitri his mid-day meal. I feel much better knowing that he will be getting attention while I'm at work.

He seems to be adjusting very well. He already sleeps in his bed and he is going in the litter box on his own! He loves playing with Sophia. The run all over the house (I still keep his play periods around 15 minutes so as not to get him over worked). He's eating well and seems very happy! No whining, except at night. Although, he's only waking up once during the night. I think that's pretty good!

I'll keep you updated and send pictures and a recommendation soon.

Thanks,
Tina

Just to let you know, he played all day yesterday, ate well, went to the bathroom in the box, only missed once, and slept all night, he is perfect!!! Also, I even had him outside of the play yard and he ran up to it scratching so I put him back in and he ran right for the litterbox and went to the bathroom, I was amazed.

I send you some pics with his name, I still can't decide, it needs to be perfect.

1/21/2007 10:07:36 A.M. Eastern Puppy Doing Great!!

Good Morning Mary-
Just a quick note to let you know the puppy is doing very well and seems extremely happy. He slept most of the evening and didn't eat until around 10pm last night, but ate well, and went to the bathroom right afterwards. He didn't like the container I set up for him in my bedroom, he cried each time I laid him down in his little doggie bed. I tried 3 times and he wasn't happy so I put him back in the play yard and he went right to sleep. Do you have any suggestions? I woke up this morning and he was playing with his elephant and was having a ball. He has been playing for about an hour now and ate well again this morning. He even likes PJ, he gave him kisses on PJ's nose a couple times yesterday when I was introducing them to each other. I think they will become best friends.........

Thank you again for everything and I will keep in touch.....

Allison

Mary-
I sent you a few photos and a video of the puppy. He is doing wonderful and the vet gave him a clean bill of health.  Anne fell in love with him as soon as I walked in the door at the vet, she held him and gave him kisses and took pictures of him with her camera phone.
I am still having a hard time with a name for him. I'm up for suggestions, what does his father's QT stand for? Is it just initials for cutie?

I'll keep you updated with more pictures as I take them, hope you enjoy these.

PS.
I added a picture of my other Baby (Big Baby) PJ.....

Thanks,
Allison

Subject: Puppy Update 1/20/2007 6:51:26 P.M. Eastern First night-

Hi Mary,

Sorry I'm just now writing, I had class this am/pm.

Our angel girl had a wonderful night. (I'm sure her name will be GIGI, but Sarah is struggling with a name). She is so sweet, she slept the late night hours curled up with Sarah, intermittantly playing and consistently used her box when placed in it, even twice on her own! Only a few minor piddles. Never a peep out of her. We did introduce her to big brother only because he knew something was up and had more accidents than GiGi, which I'm sure is just him marking his territory, and I'm sure it will stop when they are settled in. This am they had a great play time and she loves his ears just as much as her litter brothers. Chico was very gentle and apprehensive at times, only because he's not used to seeing another puppy smaller than him I think. Sarah has some pics of them and will send off asap. I will write a recommendation letter this week. It's the least I can do for the wonderful gift of this precious pup you have shared with us. Her eating is light but we offer meals every 5 hours as advised, how will I know when to cut down on feeds? I'll write with more questions if something comes up, but rest assured she has a wonderful home and is very loved.

Thanks again and talk to you soon,

Katie

Hi Mary,

The puppy is doing well. She wags her tail when we walk into the room. She is definitely warming up to us and loves to nap on my lap. She is starting to play more too. She has only had 2 accidents so far, one pee and one poop. She is eating more and loves the wet food.

Well I best get to bed. I will keep you posted.

Hi  Mary,

Sorry I didn't get back with you last night. The ride home went well. She was nervous and shook a lot, but she didn't cry at all.  Morgan held her in her lap with a blank she could crawl into if she wanted to. She slept quite a bit but woke up very easily....she has been peeing and pooping in it ever since. I think she has only peed on the floor once. She hasn't pooped at all on the floor.
I gave her some syrup and water in a syringe because she wouldn't eat or drink anything. She also licked a little Nutrical from the tube. I put food and water down for her to eat.
When we got home from church yesterday afternoon, she seemed a little less scared and shy. She started wagging her tail when I would talk to her. By last night she was eating and drinking. She wags her tail when I talk to her and is starting to play with her blanket and stuffed animal. Sorry about forgetting the elephant! I realized it after we were back on the express way. It really was cute. Anyway, she is still shaking when I pick her up, but she stops after awhile and will go to sleep on my lap, I gave her some wet food last night and she ate that right up.
Right now she is sitting on my lap snoozing. I still haven't thought of a name yet. I am waiting to see what her personality will be like. I won't wait too long, but a name hasn't come to mind yet. I have been calling her Baby when I talk to her, so that might end up being it or at least a nickname.
I will keep you posted on how she is doing. I think she is starting to come out of her shell and be more comfortable with us. We all love her and are being patient with her.

Take care,
Janet

Subject: Complete Supplies, Care and Feeding Instructions for Your Angel Puppy/Reserved by Deposit

Hi Mary,

Thanks for the list of items and instructions for bringing baby home. They don't even give that much instruction to new human mothers when they leave the hospital! (they probably should though). I can't wait to get shopping so everything will be in place for a smooth transition.

I'll go over the list thoroughly and if I have any questions I'll let you know.

Just wanted to let you know that Lucy ate some dry food and some of the canned food mixed with a little water - and she also drank water and licked a little syrup.  She went potty in the litter box (#1).     :)

She did cry/whine a bit earlier and wanted to come out of the play-yard to play/be held.  She is sleeping now - all cozy in her bed under a blanket, inside of her play-yard.

I'll let you know how the night goes........

3/1/2007Batman's Black puppy with white markings. Update

Mary,

I have been meaning to send you an update.

Genevieve is doing much better. I took your advice and limited contact between the two. Just so Genevieve would get used to him being around. Now, they have more contact with each other and Genevieve is doing just fine. She still has her moments, of course, but it is nothing like it was before.

Dmitri is so smart. I trained him to go on the wee-wee pads and he rarely has an accident now. He's healthy and happy and loves to play with Sophia. He tries to play with Genevieve but she just jumps on the couch to get away from him (but that's better than being aggressive towards him). He definitely knows his name and is learning to listen to me when I discipline him. All and all, we are beginning to settle into a nice little family.

Thanks,

Tina

2/23/2007 A Q.T. Son

Hi Mary -
How are you?  Just checking in to give you an update on my beautiful
boy Bodie.  He is 8-1/2 months old now and weighs 6 pounds.  He was
neutered last Friday, and I guess he got a lot of TLC.  They said he
cried unless someone was holding him, so he got held a lot!  Anyway, he
was upset with me - when I went to get him, he wouldn't even look at me.
But he had forgiven me by the time we had been home for a little while
and he has recovered nicely.  The people at the vet's office just love
him.

Today I brought him to work with me so he won't associate the car with
just going to the vet.  He has been a big hit with everyone, and several
people who had a negative image of chihuahuas were very surprised when
they met Bodie.  They are all impressed with how sweet, nice, friendly
and happy he is.  He really is the sweetest little guy and such a joy.

Things are going great and we couldn't be happier.  Thanks again for
your dedication in breeding quality chihuahua puppies - I'm so lucky to
have one of your chi-angels for my own!
Hugs from me and puppy smooches from Bodie -
Take care,
Ellen

be very happy. Thank you again.  We will send pictures as he grows.

Thank you,

We Enjoy Getting Updates on our Angel Puppies

 2/6/2007 puppy update
Hi Mary,
Baby is doing great. She has had some peeing accidents, but that is to be expected. She gets so excited when we get up in the morning or come home from somewhere. She starts jumping up and down and talking to us. She is all over us when we go in the kitchen. I keep telling her if she keeps wagging her tail so hard, it is going to fall off! She loves playing with the other dogs and doesn't mind the cat at all. The cat was licking her and purring in her ear this morning.
Take Care, Janet

YAY!!!  We are all SOOOO excited!!  We have been talking about her all day!!  Just finished our dinner and at the table we talked about tomorrow and how things are going to go and what the kids should expect etc.....  The kids are very excited, but they also know that Lucy is a baby and that she will only be able to play for a little bit and then she will need to rest.

I have been looking at her latest pictures over and over all week and visualizing myself holding her and loving her - I just can't wait.  She is so precious and we will give her so much love and care - you can be assured of this.

We will call you tomorrow when we are getting ready to leave (around 2:00).

See you soon!

Lucy did so well last night - no crying at all.  She does whine a bit during the day when we put her in her pen and are not holding her - but it doesn't last very long.  She just wants to be loved all of the time.  :)

I am so glad that you like the God's Heart bracelet!  And we are happy that you will think of us and Lucy when you wear it.  That is very special.

2/13/2007 Batman fawn angel boy

I messed up.  I accidently deleted the pictures of "Chewy" out of my e-mail
account.  Would it be possible for you to e-mail me some pictures of him so
Amanda and I can send them to all of our friends and family. Let me know if
it is possible. Thank you again for all that you have given to us.

Sincerely,
Ralph

P.S. We got him a play pen to help potty train but he would much rather be
out of that to drag around the puppy pads throughout the house while wetting
on the rug.  Let me tell  you, life has gotten a little more exciting since
he has been around. Ha Ha

2/13/2007 Batman light fawn boy

yeah we were given the puppy pads as a gift and realized real quick that it
wasn't going to work. We put the play pen in the living room so he can see
us most of the time.  He is trying his best to jump out of it to get to us
but it will be a while before it can even be a dream of his.  Hopefully with
all of your suggestions he will succeed at potty training sooner than later.
We purchased a pan and placed everything that he needs in there with him,
except us, of course.  Thank you for taking the time to respond to us and
give us some advice and pictures.

Sincerely,
Ralph

Lucy at home! We love her and she is doing VERY well!! Blessings to you, Mary!!
Happy Valentine's Day from us all!

Hi Mary,

We took Celia to the vet on Friday.  We went to the holistic vet I told you about in Ypsilanti.  He was very good.  They in fact require you to bring a fecal sample in because they always look at it before giving the deworming.  That is the kind of thing a holistic vet does.  Anyway, Celia did not have any worms.  He gave her the puppy vaccine and said the next one will be in one month.  This is a lot different from what a regular vet told me.  When I had called a vet in Belleville, he said that the vaccines are every week for about a month.  Holistic vets understand the problems that arise from over vaccination.

So anyway, Ramon and I are really enjoying our little Celia.  She is quite the athetic little puppy.  She had already learned how to jump up on this one big chair that we have.  And she loves running around the house at full speed.  She also loves biting anything she can get her mouth on, which can get pretty annoying because she loves biting our pant legs.  Haven't figured out yet how to make her stop doing this, but hopefully it's just a puppy phase.  When she's on fire (extra hyper), there's no stopping her.  :)

So did you ever find a home for the last two puppies?

Hope things are going well.  I'm going to send you more pictures.

Take care,
Christine

P.S. Celia sends her love!

7-16-07 Hi Mary -
How are you?  I can hardly believe it has been almost a year since I met you and my sweet baby Bodie.  Today I took a peek at your web site to see what was new, and I was thrilled to see that you still have photos of Bodie displayed!!

Andrae recently turned one year old. He is still bring just as much joy as the day we brought him home. Today we took him to a car show and everyone wanted to meet him and play with him. It was like going out in public with Brad Pitt :-) Here are some recent pictures of him and his 1/2 brother, Hercules:O) Hope all is well with you and your new batch of angel puppies. Cheryl

Recommendation letter- 8/19/2007

8/16/2007 Hi Mary,
Ria continues to impress us.  She is consistent and intent on using her litter box.   Her appetite is good.  And at this moment, she is actually alone in her play yard pen taking a nap alone--for the first time--no whining!!!! We are very pleased.  I will send a reference letter as discussed.

Dear Mary,

Abbey and I just wanted to drop a note about our
Chiangel, Piper Cooper.

Lindsay

Testimonial 7-14-07

Good Morning Mary,

We are just back from the vet, our little dynamo gained a whole pound, and they say she is looking great.

When my husband and I decided to bring a new puppy in the house, I started to research Chihuahua breeders.

Admittedly I by passed Chi Angels, because of the no visit rule before you pick the puppy up. After a few days and thinking about it, Mary is right. They are so little, and most of us have multiple pets at home and travel around with us. Where we are responsible, others may not be and you never know what you or you dog may come in contact with. So I gave Chi Angels another look and so happy I did.

Mary responded right away to our application, and walked me thru the steps selecting a pup and how to get her
deposit to her. I heard from Mary nearly on a daily basis. She provided me with all the information I would need
to bring home and raise my little one. Once a week we received picture updates and status reports on our little girl. We very much looked forward to Thursdays and so did everybody else, because we shared the pictures with friends and relatives from all over.
Every question or concern I had, I would contact Mary and she always responded right away. Lilliana would be coming home to 3 young and very active terrier brothers so I had many questions.
When the day came to pick up Lilly we were so excited. We were greeted with a big hug from Mary,
her house very clean and quiet. And there was my Lilliana, with the sparkliest eyes, and the waggingest tail you ever saw. She was friendly and full of kisses for all of us. Mary took much time going over everything with us
and made sure we had all questions answered. No one rushed us out.
Since Lilliana has been home she never ceases to amaze us. She is happy, healthy and very active. And gives her brothers a run for their money.
And Mary is my friend, we still correspond by email weekly and it is just a joy, she just loves her little ones so much.
The very proud Mommy of Lilliana

You must understand that she was brought home by
private plane a 2 1/2 hour flight. Ms. Piper was calm
and stayed in Abbey's lap, as well behaved as you
could hope for. Since her arrival everyone has met a
doll baby, the most playful, enthusiastic and
gorgeous black and tan around. People always ask where
did you get that dog. On Piper's first vet. visit we
were told she was very, very well taken care of girl.
She is a picture of health. Piper mastered up and down
our three story townhouse stairs in 5 days. The vet
said that it was impossible it usually takes a month
or so at her age and size, quite a testimony to
quality breeding, thanks Batman ( daddy ).

We came far to get her ( from Delaware )  but we found
a wonderfully reared dog. Piper is a great joy to us.
Abbey already wants to get Piper a brother.

Thanks again for a wonderful little girl.
